There is a vast range of courses available for students after class 12th in science, commerce or arts sream.

It’s a life changing step in a student’s life when he has to decide the course he wants to pursue in his higher studies. The factors which affect the selection of subjects at the under-grad level are students interests, career aim, percentage scored in 12th and stream that the student has studied.

Science students can go for the following-

The students who had PCB/PCMB OR PCM as their science subjects can go for one of these prevalent courses like BCA, MBBS, BPharma, BSc, BE, Mtech or Btech with a majoring subject of choice.

Most important criteria to be looked at if you want to pursue BTECH/BE, BArch and BCA is that you should have studied maths as a subject in your +2 level. Students who did study maths can also be part of the aviation industry as a commercial pilot or can get in NDA by clearing an entrance exam for the same.

Courses in which maths is not considered compulsory as a subject that should have been studied are MBBS, BPharma, BDS, paramedical and nursing.

Science students can also pursue courses other than those of science stream like law, mass communication, graphic design, travel and tourism, law etc.  Management courses like BMS, BBA OR BBM can be opted for.
