PFMS Scholarship schemes

PFMS- Public Financial Management System was started in 2008-2009 which then was named as CPSMS. PFMS scholarships are provided to students who need financial support and are aspiring towards their future. There are a number of schemes under PFMS and to apply for them you need to be eligible as every scheme has its own eligibility criteria. In this article you will find various scholarship schemes and their eligibility, check below if you are eligible for the scheme you want to apply to – 

SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES UNDER PFMS – 

  • Post-matric scholarship for OBCs
  • Up gradation of merit of scheduled cast students 
  • Top class education scheme for Scheduled cast 
  • National incentive scheme for girl child for secondary education
  • National means cum merit scholarship 
  • Pre-matric scheme for SC students
  • Scholarship to college or university students
  • Post-matric for SC Students

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA OF VARIOUS SCHEMES 2020

    • QUALIFICATION- 12th standard top 20%
    • SELECTION- from 20% the results of the senior secondary exams is the basis for the selection of total 82K Students from each board.
    • AGE RANGE- 18 to 25 years 
    • FAMILY ANNUAL INCOME- equal to/less than 6 lacs annually 
  • Post metric scholarship for SC students – https://pfms.nic.in/scholarship/Scheme6Info.aspx 
    • QUALIFICATION – 10TH standard 
    • SELECTION –  All the students who pass 10th standard are eligible 
    • AGE-      ——– 
    • FAMILY ANNUAL INCOME –equal to/ less than 2.5 lac annually 
  • DBT Pre-metric scholarship for SC students – https://pfms.nic.in/scholarship/Scheme11Info.aspx
    • QUALIFICATION – 9th and 10th standard 
    • SELECTION –  ——–
    • AGE-      ——– 
    • FAMILY ANNUAL INCOME-  equal to/less than 2 lakh annually

    • QUALIFICATION – 8th standard (55% for general and 50% for SC/ST) 
    • SELECTION –  MAT & SAT

HOW TO REGISTER FOR SCHEMES ONLINE – 

  • Visit the official portal of PFMS online 
  • At the bottom of the homepage, look for “PFMS Scholarship student registration”
  • From the list that will appear, select the scholarship scheme you want to apply to 
  • Fill the details required according to the scheme selected like year of passing, standard,, board of education etc.
  • Then on the next page you will be asked for your bank details like account number and ifsc code.
  • Then you will be asked for your personal contact info like email, mobile number etc. and you will have to create User ID and password on the same page to login further 
  • Then after registration is complete, login to your account from the same official portal and submit the scanned copy of documents asked so that you can submit your final application.

DOCUMENTS TO KEEP HANDY WHILE REGISTRATION- 

  • Soft copy of Passport size photo
  • PDF of candidate’s mark sheet of the required standard 
  • Scanned copy of signature of the candidate 
  • Premium receipt PDF

CHECK YOUR PAYMENT STATUS ON PFMS 

  • Go to the official web page of pfms –https://pfms.nic.in/NewDefaultHome.aspx.
  • Then on the homepage, you will see an option of ‘TRACK NSP PAYMENTS’ in a blue column.
  • Next, fill in the details asked on the page that will appear.
  • Search your payment status by account number or by your Nsp Application id.
  • Fill in the verification word and click search.
  • Your NSP payment status will be displayed.
